Holistic Pet Wellness with Homeopathy with Dr Jeff Fienman & Manon on The Healers Café

In this episode of The Healers Café, Manon Bolliger, FCAH, RBHT (facilitator and retired naturopath with 30+ years of practice) speaks with Jeff Fienman, a veterinarian and molecular biologist, discusses his journey and passion for holistic pet care. He emphasizes the importance of following Dr. Mother Nature’s framework for healing, which includes practices like breath meditation and homeopathy. Jeff shares success stories of animals recovering through holistic methods, such as a dog with kidney failure and a cat with hair loss. He advocates for pet parents to learn and apply these methods, aiming to empower them to improve their pets’ quality of life.

Highlights from today’s episode include:

Fixing vs. Healing – Jeff explains true healing follows Dr. Mother Nature’s framework, not just reductionistic “fixing” of symptoms.

Vitality & Energy – Jeff confirms every intervention that goes against the body’s natural healing lowers vitality, making detox and recovery harder.

– – – – –

Choosing Aligned Care – Manon speaks about Jeff’s story of your daughter’s dog shows how surgery plus homeopathy can be the right path when it aligns with the animal’s vital force and clearly relieves suffering.

Manon Bolliger  00:00

Welcome to the Healers Cafe, the #1 show for medical practitioners and holistic healers to have heart to heart conversations about their day to day lives while sharing their expertise for improving your health and wellness.

Manon Bolliger  00:20

So, welcome to the Healers Cafe, and today I have with me Jeff Fienman and he graduated in 1981 and 1985 from the University of Pennsylvania as licensed in molecular biology as a veterinarian, so I’m not sure how that goes. I think you would be a veterinarian and do molecular biology. You’ll have to expand on that, but you’re licensed to practice in California, Connecticut, and Florida, and your current focus is teaching pet parents to use the happiness protocol to achieve the best quality of life for their animal companions. The specific actions are based on cellular energy and vitality, individuality, and susceptibility as described by the exposome, so I’m gonna stop right there, and I’m gonna get you to really like translate what all this means. What got you interested in this? It’s, you know, I don’t know how many children just suddenly wake up to this realization. This is what I want to be when I grow up, you know. So, why don’t you share your path with us? And welcome.

Jeff Fienman  01:52

Thank you. Welcome. I appreciate. I’m very grateful to be back, and molecular biology part didn’t come in, but I was a four year old that wanted to be veterinarian, and I’m not sure there was no obvious reason to me why say it was the innate in me that I was going to be an animal doctor, and oh, what I learned through a lot of study and a lot of years of practice is that we need to be following smartest veterinarian and doctor in the world, and that if we don’t do that, we can heal, and that it’s really there’s difference between fixing and reductionistic medicine, which is what we learn as molecular biologists, or veterinarians, or MDs, and healing deeply. Healing the reason, you know, we can talk about that distinction, but deeply heals Dr. Mother Nature, and Dr. Mother Nature has given us a very specific framework. It’s been followed for 1000s of years by all the indigenous trucks around the world, but when the world is scientific medicine, so we don’t follow that framework, but our medicine, our science is now verifying all the pieces of it. For example, I’m looking at James SS, who become the breath, as you know, breath is life, breath, prana is life force, and there’s a reason for that, and you know, change goes into the scientific foundations, but also where it is now, and how you know art of living issues, and Yale University did a study that their breath meditation decreases stress and crews student performance. I mean, it’s crazy. Yep, we can definitely, we can help our animals with the same framework, Dr. Mother Nature, because our animals are even closer to it, except for what we’ve

Manon Bolliger  04:13

done.

Jeff Fienman  04:16

Really, everything I teach is about how we can follow our animals, how we can follow them into joy, into love, into happiness, into balance, which is really the bottom line, is we live in that state of dynamic equilibrium, always changing and always seeking balance,

Manon Bolliger  04:42

and so did you like what a truck, because you could help people, you can, and actually I’m just going to get you to put your mic a little bit closer, because I’m not hearing everything, I don’t know,

Jeff Fienman  04:56

that’s that’s me, I’ve got a nerd genre. Of genetic disorder and my speech, doing the best I can, but thank you for bringing that up, because I’ll try harder.

Manon Bolliger  05:12

Well, I think actually just moving it there has made it better. It was this

Jeff Fienman  05:16

good, good.

Manon Bolliger  05:17

No, you’re good. Now you’re clear.

Jeff Fienman  05:19

Speak it louder. Also, yes,

Manon Bolliger  05:20

yeah, that might help. Okay, so, so, yeah, so you were, you were attracted by, is it because animals are, are more natural, are closer to nature, that like, how did you know? Because you have this, you have this gift that you decided to go deeper in. How, why is it you decided it is as a veterinarian? Like, what was your sort of, you know, I’m gonna do that rather than people or elderly, or you know, whatever it is. Like, what? What is it that moved you?

Jeff Fienman  06:09

Sure, sure. Let’s say that’s a question that, with that, the four year old me that wanted to become a veterinarian and always wanted to be a veterinarian, probably couldn’t answer correctly, but I could answer it from the point of view of a 1982 student at the University of Pennsylvania, where they allowed me, because my molecular biology research into any of they wanted to keep me as a PhD and doctor or whatnot, since they tried to get me out of medical school or vet school or law school or engineering, because 10 households of schools. Why did I choose to go to vet school? I never had any desire to be a human doctor, and I guess her deep psychological roots for that might be right, it might be alignment with animals, but you know, I don’t, I don’t know the answer, but it’s ironic because pet work after 40 years has led me back to a path that’s the pet wellness that works the same for people as it does for animals, that brings us into a place of joy, love, happiness, and balance,

Manon Bolliger  07:27

right, right, but, but your way through was through animal understanding, animal communication, and healing, like real healing, not synthetic, whatever. whatever pharmaceutical healings, which are not healings, but it’s from that, and then you, and now the passion is to train the masters of these animals, what actually, what can be done, right, because you know, like, I live in a province in British Columbia in Canada, where technically I’m not allowed to treat my own animal, you know, and what a crazy idea, like, you know, it’s just I find that incredible to, to think that not that I’m a vet, but that I can’t do what would be so much of healing is, is looking after, is feeding, is being with, is you know, being present to, and all of that, right. Thank God, they don’t look at that as treating, so you can get away with a lot, right? As long as the drugs, if, if one were to choose to go that way, you go through vets, right? But it’s interesting, they bother making a law like that, you know,

Jeff Fienman  09:05

and I’m sure you know why they made that law, and there are lots of laws like that throughout the areas in the US, but most of the US freaking treat, and you know, it’s the safety of the animals, you know, safety of the guardian, you know, treating, buying, and treating your own animals. My argument is, since in the conventional world, the energetic doesn’t exist, and homeopathy isn’t a drug, and it isn’t, you know, anything, you can’t measure it. I mean, it doesn’t, it’s not there. How is my use of that treating my animal, and what veterinary school is going to teach me how to do that? So different is what I’m saying.

Manon Bolliger  09:55

Yeah,

Jeff Fienman  09:56

but you’re right, it’s the rules are very strict up there, yeah. Yeah, down here we’re most of us in the world really are focused on empowering ….

ourselves, so that we can learn from the framework of Dr. Mother Nature, which, if in 1800 in the US, we had that same rule about treatment than the pioneer women and mothers that went west, that were all the doctors, their families. I’m not sure what would have happened.

Manon Bolliger  10:32

Yeah, yeah, it’s true. Yeah, one

Jeff Fienman  10:40

of the very best-selling books back then was called The Home Treatment. Now I know it’s the box in the book, it was a box of Homeopathic Medicine, said a book had said, “Here is the problem, there, go to number 44 and use that. Now, was that treatment

Manon Bolliger  11:03

you’re asking the question. Yeah,

Jeff Fienman  11:06

I am wondering if that would be considered to be treatment.

Manon Bolliger  11:10

Yeah, well, you know, I mean, they have to decide whether it’s all placebo because there’s no, you know, substance, or whether it’s the act of wanting to help, which is treatment, right, like they’re trying to find the placebo in it one way or another to discredit it, you know, like when they misuse homeopathy, what they do is in their studies they give everyone the same medication, the same homeopathic remedy, and then they say it doesn’t work well. Any homeopath would know that if it lacks specificity and individuality, it’s not going to work, because that’s not the basis of homeopathy, right? It’s like, here’s like, you know, so I think they haven’t decided how to mistreat this art sufficiently.

Jeff Fienman  12:12

Yeah, and it’s ironic because we’re very close. That look at the HR at the Homeopathy Research Institute, you’ll see we’re very close to really, you know, getting those double blind studies and enough evidence base for homeopathy to be a treatment.

Manon Bolliger  12:31

Yeah,

Jeff Fienman  12:31

I just went to second annual conference for global homeopathy sponsored by the Regenerative Medicine Clinic at the University of Connecticut, and the eminent first speaker that actually introduced his father regenerative medicine up there, and said, you know, you guys are the way of the future,

Manon Bolliger  13:01

so is that what you use amongst other things, or in treatment is homeopathy?

Jeff Fienman  13:08

I am a homeopath. I have been a homeopath for this for a long time, but, as you may know, you know, they say that you need 30 years of study before you really, really learn.

Manon Bolliger  13:24

Oh my gosh, I know, I know, I’ve been very focused on homeopathy myself, you know. And it’s, it’s endless, the depth you can go, and the nuance, and you’re, you know, it’s, it’s like being a detective, you know, except that the end result, you actually really can create miracles, because that’s how the body works, you know. It’s like,

Jeff Fienman  13:50

exactly,

Manon Bolliger  13:51

yeah, yeah, we

Jeff Fienman  13:53

are, we are learning a fraction, we are trying to learn a fraction of what the final force knows intuitive, we live for the fact that we’re alive is such a big miracle.

Manon Bolliger  14:06

Yeah, I

Jeff Fienman  14:07

mean, I mean, a quantum physicist, one of the founders of quantum physics, back in 1944 realized this, invented what term called negative entropy, which is vital force, basically.

Manon Bolliger  14:23

Yeah,

Jeff Fienman  14:24

he wrote a little book called What is Life, because you know life exists at that level, that it is such a miracle, and there are so many intricacies that we’re just beginning to ascertain, and yeah, the home of houses, the ones that are trying to weed out, you know, just like any scientist does when they first learn

Manon Bolliger  14:49

science,

Jeff Fienman  14:52

just like noon did, you know, maybe, maybe, but you know, unfortunately. With you know, we have, there’s a lot of things going on in our society that are affecting, you know, the medical paradigm and health in general.

Commercial Break  15:11

What would your life be like if you were pain-free? If you were one of the millions who suffer from chronic pain, the thought of just one day without it may seem impossible. Manon Bolliger  16:20

Yeah, yeah, like that’s probably not a fair question, because we’re still in high censorship times, at least out here, so I better not ask intelligent questions, but, but have you found that there’s a difference in treating animals whose owners have followed, you know, just about every theory, every pharmaceutical theory out there, like, you know, take your shots for this and take your shots for that, and a bit like they’re doing to infants, you know, whereas maybe it was five or six shots, now we’re at what, 172 or something, some ridiculous, like, you know, I mean, in the human, it’s it’s obvious the impact, but I wonder if it wouldn’t be the same if you literally poison animals, and then, of course, they get sick. I mean, you’re it makes the treatment of homeopathy in my mind more complex because you’re needing to detox, you know, literally toxins in your, in the body, as well as work with the vital force, which is more than happy to work with you. You know,

Jeff Fienman  17:52

no, I’m a simple guy. You know, I like to break things down to their simplest. So, I would reframe what you just said as a matter of vitality. Hope that we have a certain amount of cellular energy. If you want to talk about mitochondrial function or molecular mechanisms, we can talk about that as well, but and every time we work against our body’s natural healing ability, we lower its ability to heal. If you did that enough, yeah, end up in immune failure. You end up with cancer, you end up, you know, in.. yeah. So, yeah, I do think to answer your question, yes or no. Yes, I do think there is direct relation between

Manon Bolliger  18:39

them. I think we did that very discreetly, anyway. Well,

Jeff Fienman  18:50

you know, if you want to, if you want to get into cell, you know, this transcription and translation, and translation is the process of moving from the DNA into protein, it’s also the most energy consuming process,

Manon Bolliger  19:05

right? The

Jeff Fienman  19:06

body does that, the vital force has to be in control of, because we can’t do anything about that, but translation, intracellular translation, the way, the way that the vital force can do, Mother Nature can, but where we do that to detox, because our bodies are detoxing all the time, but the more does it detox, more energy uses that actually might be a better way of thinking about it, and the detox falsified rather than talk about transcription and translation detox process is very energy

Manon Bolliger  19:49

consuming. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Jeff Fienman  19:54

Wow, why did my cat have surgery back in. March, April, and nothing has started regrowing because her body is so devitalized, got to build back up to where she has a power, the final floor to regrow her hair, she will in time think part, a big part of the issue is we want things done quickly, we use the interventions we use because they work. They often work within a day or two. The final fourth Mother Nature doesn’t necessarily follow our timeline.

Manon Bolliger  20:38

No, no, exactly. Yeah, yeah, no, I’ve.. I know one, you know, because our family uses homeopathy for just about everything, including, you know, my daughter’s dogs, and that, but we really had a hard time with one of her dogs to to nail a remedy that worked, you know, and I mean, there’s 1000s of them, you know, you can’t always get the right one, I mean, it, but only the right one really works, you know, so it could be just a question of time, but, but she became very aware how much the the dog was suffering, and then decided to go for a knee surgery, and you know it was quite amazing. Last time I saw her, the dog was really not suffering anymore, much more at peace, you know, and so it’s kind of one of the most like, because I’m definitely not pro doing a bunch of unnecessary surgeries, and you know, I always think, well, a remedy can be found, but there’s a point in which you have to know your animal, and and I felt that she was very connected, she’s always been connected, and and she said no, no, this time we’re gonna do it this way, and and I thought that was very, you know, brave, because that’s not her life experience, you know. Homeopathy has always worked, you know. So it’s interesting, but it was very strong, like much more of a connection and a real knowing that this is what this dog needed now, you know, and that she couldn’t wait much longer, and you know, it’s very.. it was actually quite beautiful to witness,

Jeff Fienman  22:48

and that is what I called in the book, and in path about wellness, and in holistic actions, we learned about something called conscious compassionate communication that that’s your daughter was practicing, that’s beautiful.

Manon Bolliger  23:09

Yeah, it’s interesting. Yeah, it’s like an instinct, right? Yeah,

Jeff Fienman  23:17

it’s a connection, it’s a, it’s love. I mean, we’re talking about apart on powered by love energy,

Manon Bolliger  23:25

right? Right, exactly.

Jeff Fienman  23:28

And the further we get away from that, the harder it becomes, like you said, to heal,

Manon Bolliger  23:35

yeah, yeah, yeah. Cuz I am surprised that the dog is healing quite well, which is always a sign that it was the right thing, you know, like in the sense that if, if it doesn’t go against the vital force, if it’s in flow, then it was the right thing, and so now giving a homeopathic remedy just finishes it, it just makes it beautiful, whereas it felt like it was there, was too much fighting, you know, like the dog could not get past that point, and then the surgery became useful

Jeff Fienman  24:17

in our online membership and holistic actions this year. We’re teaching the roadmap to wellness and balance, and the way it started in January was how to get the best worlds, and how to get the best worlds. What you just rubbed.

Manon Bolliger  24:38

Oh, very interesting. So I was going to say, do you have any sort of story or something you want to share that would get people interested to take the next step, then you know, read your book and find out more.

Jeff Fienman  25:00

Well, I’m being this is thesis. These are cases, real cases that’ll book dog with one kidney that that wanted kidney failure and was dying as a young dog lived and had a decade of high performing politics of life, you know, another dog had a fail, non-regenerative anemia, that again went on to have a great life. I am my own cat, that at the surgery and the hair loss that I just had, the shaving had a near after that thing after that, she had a her crate went down to a 14, where like people would like to see a 3040 or thereabouts, and at 14 we figured out she was emaciated, and you know, having diarrhea all over the house, and blah blah blah, within two weeks, oh, agile leukemia, according to her blood work, her white cells were over 50,000 or up at 50,000 with all lymphocytes, and blah. Two weeks of homeopathy, good diet, fun shine, love body renormalized. I have the lab work before and after. Two weeks later,

Manon Bolliger  26:22

yeah, yeah,

Jeff Fienman  26:24

so yeah, because we all have, you know, yeah, and I’m sorry, but yeah, Rob, appreciate in a dog can be a tough boy, not the case to handle, especially if it was a bigger dog,

Manon Bolliger  26:40

yeah, it’s a bigger dog that loves squirrels,

Jeff Fienman  26:45

quality life wise, so often no choice. Yeah, yeah,

Manon Bolliger  26:50

interesting. Yeah, well, maybe if you could hold pure book one more time, so that more, and then so it’s called, okay, to wellness. Oh, Tibet, that’s Biggie. I can see that somehow my eyes pet wellness, perfect. Okay. Well, thank you. And how do people reach you? And do you, by any chance, do long distance consultations?

Jeff Fienman  27:32

That’s a whole nother podcast. I did take it off with Hong Kong and Sweden, and yes, so, but those are people in our holistic actions community, so it’s a long and convoluted answer. The best way to reach me is through AJ, which

Manon Bolliger  27:53

is

Jeff Fienman  27:55

Holistic actions.com and our VIP membership is closed most the year, but it’s opening in a couple of weeks, and that’s a VIP is a mentoring membership.

Manon Bolliger  28:10

Okay,

Jeff Fienman  28:10

I don’t know when your pod drops, but it will be closed by 20 June.

Manon Bolliger  28:17

Okay, you know, I think homeopathic vets are so hard to come by, you know. There, we had, like, when I lived in Nova Scotia, there was one, you know, and in Ontario, there was one. Well, actually, she was in the States, somebody was close enough, but it’s, it’s so hard, you know, and not so much for horses, because I mean they, they can’t take anything else, the way I see it, anyway, but you know, cats and dogs, it’s, yeah, we need more, more people who do that, maybe it’ll change,

Jeff Fienman  28:57

that is actually my mission, rest of my life has changed to that at the level of the pet parent we’re doing that tech and then maybe even the veterinarians

Manon Bolliger  29:12

yeah

Jeff Fienman  29:13

but it starts right here in my

Manon Bolliger  29:16

right of course

Jeff Fienman  29:18

that that’s all that we can do yeah no

Manon Bolliger  29:21

all right well thank you very much for sharing your information with us, and we’ll see what we can do.

Jeff Fienman  29:29

All right,

Manon Bolliger  29:30

okay. Well,

Jeff Fienman  29:31

let’s go there and spread the word.

Manon Bolliger  29:33

That’s right.
